As usual, members brought to the October meeting a variety of photos illustrating their summer shipwatching activities, and the result was a most enjoyable evening. We appreciate the efforts of all who brought slides, and once again we thank Roger Chapman for serving as projectionist.

MEMBERSHIP FEES FOR 1987-88: If you heeded our requests in the last two issues and renewed for the new season, then you will read these words secure in the knowledge that "Scanner" will continue coming to you. Those who have not paid will not receive this issue, so if any of your friends should mention that they do not have the November "Scanner", please remind them that their membership renewal is overdue. Renewal response has been most gratifying and we sincerely appreciate the kindness and support of the large percentage of members who already have sent us their renewals.

In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Paul Kimberley of Welland, to Capt. John McIntyre of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, to Malcolm McRae of Sarnia, to Gerry Ouderkirk of Toronto, to Ken Duncan of Goderich, to John Kemp of Kitchener, to Michael Konczak of Duluth, and to Mark Shu-maker of Wauseon, Ohio. And welcome back to all those who have renewed.
