Annual Dinner Meeting
Table of Illustrations

Notwithstanding the dreadful weather, our February Meeting was a great success, as a large crowd turned out for Jim Kidd's illustrated address. Jim's excellent slides illustrated the rise of the Soo River Company as well as other topics of interest. We thank him for his presentation.

THE ANNUAL DINNER MEETING will be held at the Ship Inn, in the Museum, on Saturday, May 1st. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m., and the bar will open early for those wishing a restorative before dinner. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Donald Page of Kingston, who will recount some of his experiences with Lake Ontario passenger steamers. The cost will be $14.00 per person, and we would appreciate receiving your early remittance addressed to Mr. James M. Kidd, 83 Humberview Road, Toronto, Ontario M6S 1W9. The restaurant capacity is limited, so please reserve immediately. Reservations must be accompanied by payment, and should reach us no later than April 2. Tickets will be held at the door for all who have reserved by mail. Do plan to join us for an enjoyable evening!

In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Ronald Fuller and Ben Botz, both of Goderich, to Theodore Jreschuk of St. Catharines, to Gerard Ferrao of Owen Sound, to J. Edward Chandler of Fort McMurray, Alberta, and to Edwin F. Joyce of Milton. Ontario.
