Propeller Florence, burned at Malden at the dock; damage, about $5,000; repaired.

The schooners M. Williams, Live Yankee, W. Fiske, Racine, Hyphen, Florette, Swallow, T. J. Bronson, Leader, Reindeer, Invincible, D. Morris, and barges Genesee Chief and Russell, all had sails and outfit burned at the fire of Hoffner and Mayes sail-loft, Detroit.

Tug Gen. Burnside, started aleak and sunk at Port Huron; raised and repaired.

Propeller Lake Breeze, burst a steam pipe at Bay City, scalding two men.

Sloop Emma, capsized off St. Joseph, Lake Michigan; all hands lost.

Steamer Iroquois, burned at Lachine; loss, $10,000.

Propeller Roberts, struck a pile at Mooretown; lost her wheel and shaft.

Schooner Union, struck Milwaukee pier and sunk inside; raised.

Schooner George Oscar; lost an anchor and chain between Sheboygan and Manistee.

Steamer Huron, ashore in Sarnia Bay; got off after three days' detention.

Tug Protection, ashore on Fort Erie Reef; pulled off; damage slight.

Propeller Favorite, stanchions broken by collision with steamer Dominion, at Detroit.

Schooner Ardent, lost jibboom at Keweenaw pier, Lake Michigan.

Schooner Industry, ashore near New Buffalo; got off.

Scow Venus, capsized in Lake St. Clair; got into port.

Propeller barge J. Cartier and schooner St. Joseph collided at Detroit River; both damaged.

Bark J. F. Joy, lost topsail yard at Port Huron by collision with a scow.

Schooner J. C. Harrison, ashore at Grassy Island; lightered off.

Tug O. L. Nims, broke her wheel in the ice near Buffalo.

Tuff (sic) Frank Perew, lost pilot-house while towing vessels near Buffalo.

Barge Keepsake, lost 50,000 feet of lumber in Lake Huron.

Schooner A. W. Lucky, lost horn and bowsprit chains on Lake Ontario.
