Schooner Crosswaithe, in trying to reach Saginaw, became ice-bound, and remained thus for several days; finally reached St. Clair River.

Schooner Arcturies, cargo grain, sprung aleak on Lake Huron; repaired at Detroit.

Brig N. M. Standart, en route to Chicago, lost foreyard and laid up at Sarnia.

Tug Ballantine, got a line in her wheel in Maumee River, and was towed to Detroit.

Schooner Myra, cargo grain, sunk by ice in Maumee River; probably total loss.

Scow Dunham, sprung aleak and was scuttled 4 miles from St. Joseph; not up.

Schooner Geo. Goble, cargo grain, ashore near Kettle Point, Lake Huron; not off yet.

Barge Kane, broke adrift from a tug in Lake Erie and drifted about for several days, finally found refuge at Point au Pellee.

Schooner E. M. Cone, lost deck-load lumber and arrives at Kenosha disabled.

Barge H. H. Brown, becomes ice-bound at St. Clair Flats; not released.

Schooner Lake Forest, ice-bound off Erie; rescued and towed to Buffalo.

Several vessels arrive at Milwaukee covered with ice, and more or less damaged, the crews having suffered severely from the cold.

Schooner Guido, lost most of her sails and reached Grand Haven.

Schooner Gold Hunter, drifted foul of propeller St. Paul at Erie, damaging the latter.

Bark Fanny Campbell, cargo grain, sprung aleak and reached Kincardine.

Schooner Challenge, missed the pier at Sheboygan and sunk outside.

Schooner Dacotah, cargo lumber, ice-bound in Lake Erie, but finally rescued and towed back to Detroit River.

Scow Appleton, ashore six miles north of South Haven, Lake Michigan.

Schooner Industry, ashore near St. Joseph, probable total loss.

Schooner Active, ashore not distant from last named vessel.

Schooner Brightie, ashore at Washington Island; off and towed to Chicago.

Propeller City of Madison, on a reef in Grand Traverse Bay; got off.

Tug Vulcan, partially burned while laid up at Detroit.

Schooner Mary Leonard, ashore at Cedar Point, Sandusky; got off.

Schooner S. D. Hungerford, reported ashore on Lake Ontario; no particulars.

Schooner Alice Craig, dismasted and ashore at Bark Point Bay, Lake Superior.

Schooner Yontell, lost most of her sails and reached Bayfield, Lake Superior.

Schooner Jane Ralston, sunk by ice while laid up at Detroit.
