1   notices on Lake Ontario. These were the steamers CHAMPION, built at Montreal by Augustin Cantin and
2   Capt. Henry Twohy came in from Kingston, the CHAMPION, Capt. Marshall, arrived from Montreal and the
3   ROYAL and the ADMIRAL. The steamers MAYFLOWER, CHAMPION and HIGHLANDER were scheduled to run from Cape
4   the ill-fated OCEAN WAVE. The HIGHLANDER and the CHAMPION would form the Toronto and Cape Vincent Line. The
5   Line comprised the NEW ERA, Capt. Chrysler, the CHAMPION, Capt. Milloy, the BANSHEE, Capt. Howard and a new
6   with no cargo, left for Montreal. The steamer CHAMPION, Capt. Sinclair arrived from Oswego and the
7   KINGSTON, Capt. Kelly, NEW ERA, Capt. Chrysler, CHAMPION, Capt. Sinclair and BANSHEE, Capt. Howard. Ferry
8   cleared for Montreal, light, while the CHAMPION followed her with a meagre cargo consisting of 2
9   to buy the steamers PASSPORT, KINGSTON and CHAMPION for something less than $100,000. A daily line
10   of the Royal Mail Line were: KINGSTON, PASSPORT, CHAMPION, MAGNET, BANSHEE and NEW
11   of its fury in the Kingston area. The steamer CHAMPION left Toronto at 3 p.m. on Friday, 30th and did
