It is with regret that we report the death on February 11th, at age 71, of Byron (Barney) George Adam of Port McNicoll. A member of T.M.H.S., he had begun his sailing career aboard Canadian Pacific's MANITOBA. He was chief engineer for many years in A. A. HUDSON, and also looked after the machinery in many other steamers, including VALLEY CAMP. He was chief in GOLDEN HIND when he retired in 1980, and since then he had relieved aboard various P & H Shipping vessels.

To his family and friends, we extend our deepest sympathy.
