MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS FOR THE 1985-86 SEASON ARE NOW DUE AND PAYABLE. Our new season begins in October and we hope that all our loyal members will renew for the coming year. Fees remain at $15.00 per annum, and your early remittance will be appreciated. Please forward payment to our Chief Purser, William R. Wilson, 173 Glenrose Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M4T 1K7.

As this is the final issue of our seventeenth volume, we would like to extend thanks to all those members who have supported us with correspondence in the past year. Without such assistance, we could not hope to produce our publication, and we hope that we will be able to rely upon your assistance again in the coming year.

A brief word concerning enquiries might be appropriate. We try to answer members' questions in the pages of "Scanner", so that all might benefit from the information, but if this is not possible, we will write a reply. However, Ye Ed. is very busy, so please be patient and pardon any delay in replying.

In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Benson W. Sanders of Manitowaning, to Donald J. Hurst of Collingwood, to Arthur A. Worth of Port McNicoll, to Lorne Kraus of Windsor, to Norman Eakins of Oakville, to Joe Delaronde of Kahnawake, Quebec, to Carmen Paris of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Jack Beaber of East Detroit, and to Robert Turnbull of Sarnia.

And one last word about our May Dinner Meeting. Thanks to Gordon Wendt for his great programme, and to David Bull for bringing an asortment [sic] of marine items for door prizes.
