We present below a List of Canadian Steamers and Schooners trading on the Lakes with names of the Masters, Rig, Tonnage, Owners, when and where built, and value. It is, we believe, the first thing of the kind ever presented to the Canadian public, and, while it cannot be expected to be entirely accurate, it will serve to show the extent of our Lake Marine, and will be useful as well as interesting to merchants and others. We are indebted for valuable aid to Captain Hudson, the Marine Inspector of the North Western Insurance Company of Oswego, and others interested in the commerce of the Lake.:--
