PHILIP D. BLOCK and W. W. HOLLOWAY, which left Quebec on September 16 in tow of JANTAR, are reported to have arrived at Recife, Brazil, on October 24.

--EL GATO GRANDE and barge NRP 251, having finished their Peace Bridge salvage job, were outbound in the Seaway on December 24th.

--The last Welland Canal passage of 1986 was C.C.G.S. GRIFFON on December 26. The final Seaway passage was MAPLECLIFFE HALL, downbound on December 27th.

--CHICAGO TRIBUNE did not load storage beans at Toronto but instead was towed light away from Victory Mills shortly before Christmas.
