Our December Meeting featured David Bull, who brought a videotape and a number of slides to illustrate the building and commissioning of the new Misener vessels SELKIRK SETTLER and CANADA MARQUIS, and their Pioneer sister, SASKATCHEWAN PIONEER. David's presentation was most interesting and we express to him our thanks for a very enjoyable evening.

LAY-UP LISTS: Next issue, we will present our annual report on the ships wintering at lake ports. You can assist by visiting local harbours and sending us your list of the boats laid up there. Please let us hear from you as soon as possible so that we may prepare this important record.

This is an appropriate time of year to express thanks to those members who have been regular correspondents in 1983, keeping us supplied with items of marine news, etc. Without such welcome assistance, we could not produce our newsletter, and we want you to know how much we appreciate your help, even if we cannot respond personally to each of your letters. We look forward to receiving your continued support during 1984.

In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Clark Carruthers of Toronto.
