- 2 navigation on the lower St. Lawrence and the Gulf. The upper St. Lawrence section is, of course,
- 3 in Upper Canada which had to be brought from the Gulf and Europe and were the prime reason for the
- 4 thus opening a continuous waterway from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to Sault Ste. Marie. The lock dimensions of this
- 5 II certificate is required for trading in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and down the Eastern Seaboard as far as New
- 6 At one period in the war the East coast and Gulf of St. Lawrence became so hazardous for these vessels that the
- 7 navigation season than on the lakes or in the Gulf. The canal system usually closes between the 5th
- 8 from smaller ports, particularly along the Gulf of St. Lawrence, through the canals to the lakes. In the first
- 9 Load Line Regulations which is a line in the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the tip of the Gaspe Coast to the western
- 10 and thence along the northern shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence eastward to Havre St. Pierre, has done much to
- 11 the designation "Limited" in association with "Gulf of St. Lawrence" service and this was considered to be a time
