It is with regret that we record the passing on Tuesday, June l6th, 1987, of Milton J. Brown of Rocky River, Ohio. He died at Cleveland after a lengthy illness.

A longtime member of T.M.H.S., Milton Brown was a devoted marine historian and photographer. His special interest lay in the ships of the Cleveland-Cliffs fleet and for several years he was staff photographer for Eugene Herman's magazine "Great Lakes News". Both his father and grandfather were lake shipmasters.

We extend our sympathy to Milton's wife Carol and son Wesley.
