L.E. BLOCK will not be scrapped at Windsor. She as now owned by Basic Marine Inc. and arrived at Escanaba on November 11 in tow of DARYL C HANNAH and CARLA ANNE SELVICK. She will form part of a development there. --Investment Canada has approved an offer by Societe des Ciments Francais for the common shares of Lake Ontario Cement Ltd.

--On the night of November 29, someone threw a cement block into the gears of the Homer Bridge. The structure was stuck half open for twelve hours but then was opened fully pending repairs.

--On November 29, COASTAL CANADA was struck by the S.I.U. at Sarnia. She was tied up in the North Slip, where someone painted nasty words on her side!
