Tug Reindeer, sunk at the mouth of the Thames; got up.

Schooner Illinois, lumber, deserted by her crew and waterlogged on Lake Michigan.

Schooner J. O. Moss, arrives at Toledo with canvas nearly all gone.

Steam barge Monitor, stone, struck a rock at Put-in-Bay and sunk; got up.

Tug Zouave, lost smoke stack, upper works damaged by schooner Sherwood at mouth of the Detroit River.

Schooner Shickaluna, dismasted outside Oswego; towed into port.

Schooner Jessie Anderson, grain, goes down with all hands off Long Point cut.

Schooner Dominion, cargo peas, run into by propeller Dromedary at Hamilton and sunk; got up.

Tug Monitor, burst her boiler at Madison dock; nobody hurt.

Schooners Newsboy, coal, and E. B. Allen, grain, collide off Thunder Bay, Lake Huron; latter sunk and a total loss.

Propeller W. T. Graves, arrives at Detroit disabled in machinery; bound up.

Barks Cambridge and Favorite, arrive at Buffalo minus light spars.

Schooner F. J. King, arrives at Buffalo minus her bowsprit.

Schooner Mediterranean, cargo grain, struck a wreck in south passage; repaired at Detroit.

Schooner Col. Hathaway, lost deck load of coal in Lake Erie.

Schooners S. L. Mather and Goshawk collide at Buffalo; both damaged.

Schooner Laura Calvin, cargo coal, ashore at Snake Island, Lake Ontario; got off.

Propeller Empire, disabled in machinery on Lake Huron; towed to Detroit.

Schooner Ataunto, cargo grain, and schooner Hattie Johnson, bound up, collide in the Straits; both damaged, the former severely, and towed to Detroit.

Schooner Traveller, reaches Detroit, having sprung a bad leak in Lake Erie.

Schooner Cortlandt on Belle Isle, and afterwards collided with propeller Hurd; both damaged; former went into dry dock.

Schooner Gold Hunter (Canadian) ashore in Georgian Bay; total loss.

Propeller Missouri, ashore on Whale's Back, Green Bay; pulled off; damage slight.

Schooner Wild Rover, lost mainmast in a gale on Lake Ontario.

Schooner Perry Hannah, cargo grain, sprung aleak on Lake Michigan.

Propeller India, bound down, struck a rock in Sault River, causing a leak and serious damage.

Schooner Catharine, ashore at Fitzgerald Island, Georgian Bay; got off.

Tug McClellan, collided with a bridge at Chicago; damage slight.

Tug Sarah Bryand, damaged by fire at gravelly Bay.

Steam barge Herald, lumber laden, on Mammy Judy; lightered off.

Propeller Passaic, collided with an unknown barge in River St. Clair, damaging her stern.

Scow Germain, lumber laden, ashore on Peach Island; lightered off.

Schooner M. L. Collins, cargo salt, ashore on Point au Pellee; got off.

Schooner M. Courtwright, cargo lumber, ashore near Racine and abandoned; a total loss.

Schooner Sam Flint, cargo grain, lost fore and aft main staysails on Lake Michigan.

Propeller Manistee, struck the pier going into Chicago, and damaged.

Propeller Winslow, damaged severely in upper works by collision with schooners Kate Hinchman and Traveller, near Port Huron.

Schooner Kate Hinchman, lost jibboom and bowsprit by aforesaid collision.

Schooner Traveller lost jibboom and bowsprit by same collision.

Schooner Juliette, foundered off Madison, O.,; all lost except cook; vessel total loss.

Propeller Winslow, parted chains and hawsers in a gale at Duluth.

Propeller Mendota, lost her smoke stack coming up Lake Erie.

Barge Forester, cargo lumber, waterlogged on Lake Huron.

Schooner John Jewett, lost her centreboard on Lake Michigan.

Propeller Ironsides, broke one of her wheels while crossing Lake Michigan.

Bark Cambria, damaged by getting ashore at Port Colborne.

Schooner Rio Grande, went ashore at Point au Pellee; got off.

Schooner W. Grandy, lost centreboard and suffered other damage in the Straits.

Scow Curlew, cargo supplies, ashore at Port Hope; got off.

A tow of barges broke adrift from tug Castle on Lake Huron; recovered.

Scow Conklin, lost jibboom and bowsprit by collision at Cleveland.

Schooner Montauk, damaged entering Chicago, by striking the pier.

Bark John Breden, damaged by fouling with schooner Couch at Chicago.

Schooner Seabird, ashore at Point Sauble, and tug Clifford at Round Island, Lake Michigan.

Schooner J. G. Masten, struck and obstruction at Chicago and sprung aleak.

Schooner Belle, cargo barley, ashore at Frenchman's Bay, Lake Ontario; released.

Schooner Milan, arrives at Buffalo minus a portion of her sails.

Schooner Donaldson, shifted cargo and was damaged in Lake Erie.

Propeller Roanoke, disabled near Long Point; lost smoke stack, also suffered other damage, and rescued by tugs from Buffalo.

Bark Pathfinder, run foul of a warehouse at Sarnia, damaging latter.

Schooner Golden Fleece, damaged in sails and outfit in a gale on Lake Huron.

Schooner Essex, cargo grain, arrives at Detroit leaking and crippled in sails and outfit.

Schooner L. B. Crocker, cargo lumber, arrives at Detroit damaged in hull and outfit.

Barks Acorn, Two Fannies, and schooner Crosswaithe, damaged on Lake Huron in a gale.

Schooner Montcalm, cargo grain, ashore at Girard, Lake Erie; got off.

Propeller Enterprise, ashore at South Bay, Lake Ontario; got off.

Propeller Prince Alfred, sprung aleak while attempting the rescue of schooner Gold Hunter, in Georgian Bay.

Schooner C. A. King, cargo grain, ashore at Long Point; lightered off.

Schooners H. Fitzhugh and Imperial, disabled in outfit on Lake Huron.

Bark Montgomery, schooners Trinidad, Clayton Belle and Angus Smith, suffer more or less damage on Lake Huron.

Bark Parana, threw over portion of deck-load pig iron in same storm.

Bark Arabia, sprung aleak, and schooner Oneida lost her yawl, in same storm on Lake Huron.

Schooner American Union, lost both anchors and chains in the Straits.

Tugs Samson and Goodnow collide in Detroit River; latter damaged.

Schooner Sam Flint lost most of her light sails in a gale on Lake Michigan.

Propeller Manistee, damaged going into Milwaukee by striking the pier.

Schooner Almeda, cargo coal, ashore near Madison Dock; got off.

Schooner Ostrich lost foremast head and maintopmast on Lake Huron.

Barge Magruder, cargo lumber, sunk at Malden by getting ashore.

Schooner H. J. Webb, lost her rudder post on Lake Huron.

Propeller Phil. Sheridan, damaged by fire at Bay City.

Schooner Seabird, cargo brick, ashore at Point au Sable; released.

Schooner Advance, cargo grain, sprung aleak and cut away her masts on Lake Erie.

Brig Sea Gull, lost mainsail and main boom at Point au Pellee.

Brig H. Roney, ashore near Fairport; got off.

Schooner Ashtabula, damaged by collision with unknown vessel on Lake Michigan.

Schooner Adirondac, shifted cargo grain and dismasted on Lake Erie.

Schooner F. J. King, on Black River bar; lightered off.

Bark F. Sigel, ashore at Vermillion; got off and towed to Detroit.

Schooner A. Boody, cargo grain, ashore at North Harbor reef; badly damaged.

Schooner Triumph, damaged in hull and outfit by collision at the Flats.

Schooner Owasco, ashore at Alabaster reef; lightered off.

Schooner Eagle Wing, on Green Island reef, in Straits; got off; no damage.

Barge Bay City, ashore above Port Maitland; got off.

Schooner Sam Amsden, dismasted at Buffalo by schooner F. Palms fouling with her.

Tug Frank Perew, lost an anchor while attempting to rescue schooner W. J. Preston, mouth of Niagara River.

Schooner American, cargo coal, ashore at Pillar's Point, Lake Ontario; got off.

Steamer Gen. Grant, cut by ice and sunk in Sandusky Bay; got up.

Steamer Huron, broke cylinder and engine on Lake Huron, and lays up at Detroit.

Propeller Empire, run on Fighting Island, and lightered off.

Schooner Experiment, cargo lumber, ashore at Presque Isle, Lake Ontario; got off.

Schooner Fayette Brown, damaged at the Flats by a vessel running into her.

Schooners Hoboken and Trinidad, lost jibbooms on the Flats by collision.

Schooners Hunter and J. W. Brown, collide on Lake Michigan; both damaged.

Schooner Russian, cargo grain, on Racine Reef; lightered off.

Schooner Delaware, lost jibboom by schooner Ontario running foul of her.

Schooner J. P. Mack, damaged by running foul of Buffalo crib.
