Our April Meeting was held at the Parkway Inn, St. Catharines. We thank David Bull for making arrangements and serving as chairman for the evening, and Skip Gillham for his most interesting programme. We are grateful to those who spread word of the meeting, which resulted in capacity attendance and the enrolment of several new members. It was a most enjoyable evening, despite the incredibly nasty weather outside.

When this issue appears in print, the Dinner Meeting will be history. Our thanks are extended to speaker Carl Benn for an interesting presentation, to Gordon Turner for setting the programme, and to Bill Wilson for arranging the dinner and selling tickets. Special thanks to "Cactus Clark" Carruthers and Barbara Howard for providing table favours.

With a great sigh of relief, Ye Ed. will now take his annual summer break from "Scanner" duties, primarily to scrub off all that ink and cool off the typewriter. As usual, our Mid-Summer issue will come your way in August.

In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Robert Eckmier of Thonolosassa, Florida, to Capt. John Macintosh of Fenwick, to Rudy Rogina and Andrew Kleiser of St. Catharines, to Glen Moore of Port Colborne, to Hans Thun and Robert Ritchie of Thorold, to Ray and Mary Mifflin of Burlington, and to Stephen James and Beverley Devey of Toronto.
